It’s well known that Timisoara it’s a beautiful fulfilling city, worth visiting and enjoying for a couple of days, maybe weeks. But let’s be honest – is not the best organized city regarding public transportation and also the region is not very well connected via buses or trains.
So, if you come by plane and you want to make a tour in the region or to travel a bit in the countryside, the best choice is to rent a car. There are several options available at the airport, but we recommend www.365rent.ro. We have a wide selection of cars for any kind of budget and needs and you can easily rent form us with just your ID and driver’s license.

Going from the airport to the city and driving in the city
You have to know that public transportation from Timisoara TraianVuia Airport to the city is very poor, so you can rent a car from us directly at the airport. Furthermore, any private ride to the city (Uber or Taxi) could be more expensive than a full day car rental.
Once you arrive in the city, you can easily set your GPS to avoid traffic jams that are quite annoying in the morning and late afternoon. Because traffic is generally heavy inside the city area, try to avoid large cars and orient yourselves towards mini cars and economical cars. Parking in Timisoara is cheap (a couple of euros/day). You can also try the private parkings, but they are usually more expensive.
Traveling in the region
Although the distances are not so big, going to the countryside or even to crossover to Serbia or Hungary for a short visit could be a challenge to do it by public means of transportation. There are no buses to Belgrade or to Novi Sad, even though the trip is no more than 3 hours. You can find private buses which usually make this short trip, but we strongly advise you to rent an economy car. If you are several people (friends or family) we recommend you a minivan or an SUV that you can find in our offer on www.rent365.ro.
Going to the airport
Don’t worry about going back to the airport. We can pick your rented car there. Take in consideration the traffic jam hours in order to arrive at the TraianVuia Airport on time.
